The Lodi Memorial Hospital Foundation has received the 2015 award for Philanthropic Organization of the Year from the Association of Fundraising Professionals. The award was presented at the 5th annual Community Philanthropy Summit held at Hutchins Street Square in Lodi on November 12, 2015. Diane Vigil, representing the Capital Chapter-San Joaquin Extension of AFP noted in her presentation that the Lodi Memorial Hospital Foundation was chosen for its commitment to fund raising, professional ethics, length of service and beneficial impact to the Lodi Memorial Hospital and the community at large. Wayne Craig, Executive Director of the Lodi Memorial Hospital Foundation, accepted the award and commented that “It was a humbling honor to be selected from nearly 200 charities in the area and to be recognized for work done by some many before this time.” He further stated, “The hospital has been donor-supported for over 63-years and the Foundation has been around for 35-years and will continue to serve with new and expanded opportunities for our loyal donors.”

The Mission Auxiliary, last of the ten hospital auxiliaries formed between 1948 and 2015, retired from service effect November 1, 2015. The Lodi Memorial Hospital Foundation hosted a farewell luncheon and presented a bronze plaque to be installed on the Tribute Wall of the Healing Garden.
